"John Kingston's Winning Lineout Play is wonderfully introduced in his forthright, practical manner. He teaches a system of intelligence that is so well taught it is immediately accessible."

"Richard Hill's Problem Solving For Back Play cuts through the complications, gives backlines a few simple core plays which can easily grow to outwit defences. He is also an excellent teacher."

"Damian McGraths' Defence and Contact Drills also took me to new ground. The drills are easy to run and they challenge every players fitness and toughness."

Our Coaching Lineup

Damian McGrath - "Defense and Contact Drills"

"I played professional Rugby League for Swinton and Batley. I began my coaching career at Leeds Rhinos as coach to their all conquering Academy team which has produced so many of their stars over the last 15 years and combined this with coaching the Yorkshire Academy and ultimately the Great Britain Academy team. With the advent of Super League I moved into the senior ranks and had 6 years as first team assistant coach. In that time we won the Challenge Cup at Wembley as well as being the runners-up in the Inaugural Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford and Challenge Cup final at Murrayfield.During this period I was appointed assistant Coach to the senior England team and took part in the 2000 World Cup. I also had a spell coaching Great Britain U21's and the Super League U21's. In 2001 I was invited by the RFU to be the Skills/Defence coach to the England A team and the England 7's, which included participating in the 2002 Commonwealth Games. For the next 2 seasons I combined my England 7's role with being 1st team skills Coach at Leicester Tigers. In this period the 7's made history by winning the Hong Kong Sevens 3 times in a row and also competed in the IRB 7's World Cup.

I now work full time for the RFU as their National Academy Skills Coach and have been part of the Coaching Team on the England tours of Canada ( Churchill Cup ) in 2004 and 2005. As a coach I look for challenge and innovation and my top tip would be 'success is never final' !!!! - Damian McGrath

John joined the coaching team at NEC Harlequins in the summer of 2001 from Irish side Galwegians, where he coached the team to great success. Prior to this he was coach at Richmond, where he began working with the Under 21 side before moving on to coach the First XV

"I have always believed in 15 man rugby but also respect the virtues and role of forward play. The 2 are very much compatible!!

Tips are to work hard, listen to what people say and watch other coaches at work as the best means of learning things. Go to live sessions and watch, it is amazing what you pick up!" - John Kingston
